Heggies Vineyard Estate Botrytis Riesling 2021

The Heggies Vineyard range under the Hill Smith Family Vineyards stable (most famous for Yalumba). The Heggies Vineyard sits around 500 metres above sea level in the Eden Valley, and the team reckon that parcel of fruit almost “chooses itself.” Situated on a gentle westerly slope with trees providing shelter on three sides and a dam forming the border at the base of the vineyard. These factors lead to humid and still conditions with morning fogs that are perfect for the development of botrytis cinerea.

Straw gold colour. Fresh and rich signature apricot flesh, lemon curd, gun flint, nutmeg brown spice, pawpaw, cumquat orange citrus and lime sorbet. Vibrant, crisp and exciting. Acidity drives like a spike through opulent (but not corpulent) stone fruit flesh and light honeycomb. Pulses with energy, elegance and balance.

RRP: $30 (375ml)
Alc: 10%
