Unfortunately Blue Pyrenees have rolled to the 2021, so take this as ensuring my backyard is tidy. BP create their rosé from Pinot Noir and Merlot, with the winemaking including maturation on lees for 6 months and batonnage.
Blue Pyrenees Estate, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Bone Dry Rosé, Pyrenees, 2020
Pale salmon with onion skin blush. Textural and developed aromas. Expected light red fruits alongside white cherry, white chocolate and quince with protein richness from the lees work. Tart red fruits with creamy mid palate and waxy textural close thanks to the lees work. Earthy expression best served with a chill to drive the acidity.
