Vintage has rolled for Blue Pyrenees, I’m really not sure why I got to this so late! Traditional blend of Chardonnay with Pinots Noir and Meunier.
Blue Pyrenees Estate, Sparkling Dry Rosé, Pyrenees, Macedon, 2018
Very pale salmon to onion skin hue. Light and bright beading. The extra (accidental) ageing has given richness with caramel tones over toffee apple, raspberry, dry pawpaw and cherry fruit. Light biscuit yeasty note and earthier fallen leaf. Expressive mousse. Mid palate roundness with a fine tail. Clean red fruits linger over layered yeast driven darkness. Soft texture to close. Ready to go now.
