Grenache dominant with seasoning of Shiraz and Mataro (Mourvedre, Monastrell etc…..). A mix of 60% (10% new) American oak and 40% French (also with 10% new). Note, the bottle image is of 2018 but remains the same livery.
Serafino, Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro, McLaren Vale, 2021
Dark cherry jam with sweet vanilla sugar dusting over meaty, peppercorn studded Shiraz fruit. Further air opens it up to offer raspberry slice, rose petals, saltbush, block chocolate and fresh earth. Supple, with plentiful bright red fruits and a dark coda of spice and herb from the Mataro. All this supported by easy rumbling just drying tannins. Charmingly moreish.
