Burton McMahon George’s Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

From the dynamic duo of Matt Burton (Gundog Estate, Hunter Valley) and Dylan McMahon (Seville Estate, Yarra Valley) under their Burton McMahon label. The bottle image is of 2018, but nought else has changed.

Burton McMahon, George’s Vineyard, Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, 2021

Medium ruby to garnet with a deep cerise clarity. Near reeking of sweet brown spice with bright cherry and strawberry sweet red fruit. A touch of flinty spent rifle shell and salumi meaty depth. Harmony and balance with origami neat folds between structure and elegant, furtive fruit. Dark, savoury swathes with spice and yeasty nuance. Judicious whole bunch adds grip to the delicate tannin profile. Refined and classy.

RRP: $45
