Sourced from select Eden Valley fruit parcels. 55% fermented & matured for 7 months in new French oak (making up 10% of final blend) and the rest in 1-4 year old French oak barriques.. Wild ferment. Vegan friendly. Made by Teresa Heuzenroeder. Happy to see this drop the alcohol down from the 2019.
Yalumba, Chardonnay, Eden Valley, 2020
Pale gold colour with a hint of green. Nougat and grapefruit with soft stone fruit skin, lemon citrus, green grapes, white blossoms, green tea and sweet balsam from the wood. Generous, fleshy palate filled lemon curd, bittersweet grapefruit citrus and slippery stone fruit flesh. Wild ferment gives savoury nutty, funky tones supported by a little char from the oak. Fine finish with balanced acidity.
