Cellar release of this famous peninsula vineyard. Estate grown on the isthmus housing the now world famous mona museum. Bit of a bargain really. Note, bottle image shows 2016, but naught else has changed on the label.
Moorilla, Muse, Pinot Noir, Tasmania, 2011

Starting to show a some development with a touch of browning to the garnet hue. Calm and serene cherry juice, cinnamon toast, leather belt, aromatic incense cone, dried bacon pieces, dried thyme, fallen pine cone and soft ash. Nicely integrated palate. Still silky (and retaining a little spike of the warmth) with just a touch of rumble from the tannins. Tassie acidity still sharp to punctuate the lingering bitter orange. A top value drink now option for the price.
