From a single vineyard in the Strathbogie Ranges in the Central North Victoria. Wild ferment. 90% of the wine matured for14 months in 50/50 split of four year old and eight year old 500L French oak puncheons. The remainder left in stainless steel.

Medium to deep garnet in colour. Fruity mélange: Blackberry to cassis, blueberry, plum and black cherry fruit with inky asphalt, “pen eraser” and new loose leaf paper. Generous dark fruit with an inherent smoky, inky base underscoring a mid-full weight palate. Fine, firm tannin with a herby cola coda. Perfect for char grilled lamb chops.
