Fowles Wine, Stone Dwellers, Mourvèdre, Victoria, 2020
Medium to deep garnet in colour. Fruity mélange: Blackberry to cassis, blueberry, plum and black cherry fruit with inky asphalt, “pen eraser” and new loose leaf paper. Generous dark fruit with an inherent smoky, inky base underscoring a mid-full weight palate. Fine, firm tannin with a herby cola coda. Perfect for char grilled lamb chops.
Rating: 18/20 (92/100)
