Quartz Hill, Viognier, Pyrenees, 2018
Viscous legs, Very slow to move down. Aroma of thick honey. dirty white stones, flint, grilled apricot skin, bread crust, apricot kernel, salt/saline, white tea and ginger spice. Tangy spice and sharp acidity cutting through a waxy mouthcoating phenolic experience. Finishing dry, broad and powerful with bittersweet citrus, this is a welcome addition to the intriguing Australian Viognier landscape.
