This flagship Shiraz is part of Carillion Wines “Origins” series and is sourced from the Tallavera Grove vineyard, planted in 1994 from cuttings taken from the lauded 100+ year old Tallawanta vineyard. The ninth release of this label and is thus named for the 300 million year old bryozoan fossils found throughout the vineyard. The wine is made from a single block in the vineyard which is characterised by its Terra Rossa clay over limestone soils.

Deep ruby to garnet. Earthy nose with black cherry, plums, licorice, root vegetables, Hunter leather, woody spice and subtle sweet oak. Medium frame and focused with plush dark fruit profile complemented well with spicy oak. Gentle, fuzzy tannin makes for immediate appeal.
