A change in fruit again this vintage with fruit from Brycefield and Tinkler’s School Block vineyards in Pokolbin. Both are light clay-loamy soils, the kind that Semillon likes sticking its feet into. Winemaking is also “Vegan Friendly” if that’s important to you.

Very pale lemon hue. Restrained and youthful: spiced lemongrass with lime skin, lemon pith, sliced green apple, candle wax shavings, mineral water and a hint of just ripe white peach slice. Precision and balance: texture and acidity. The right amount of weight that brings immediate appeal but doesn’t sacrifice the inherent longevity. A very fine example of modern Hunter Semillon.
