Purple Hands Wines, Planta Circa , Ancestor Vine, Grenache, Barossa Valley, 2021
Wonderfully perfumed with dark red fruit smacking of raspberry, cherry wrapped in chocolate (Cherry Ripe™ anyone?). Malt biscuit, Irish Moss™ herbaceous lift with hints of ginger and bitumen. Spiced with definitive presence baselined by an earthy, bitumen, coffeed tone. Concentration of flavour from the ancient vines with surprisingly intense acidity. Silkiness tempered with a waxy grip and very long length.
