Ermine purple with bright rim. Syrupy and concentrated nose: plenty of dark liqueur cherry and blackberry with woody spice and a creaminess from the oak. Cool, inky iodine and McLaren Vale stoniness. Popping with piquant white pepper spice on the full and refined palate. Smooth entry with tannins earthy and slightly gritty. Mocha oak gives a creamy, yet chary tang. Darkly morish.
