Tasted at a trade tasting and I managed to sneak a little of the left over bottle home for a better look.
DC Shaw, Cabernet Franc, McLaren Vale, 2022
Under DIAM. Full of black cherry, bramble, cupboard dust, violets, cassis nuances and easy kitchen herbs. Soft tannins and full of life. A nod to Anjou rather than Bordeaux or Mendoza. Advice from the winery is that you’re able to chill it: So experimenting with a (covered) glass in the fridge overnight: while it takes on a cranberry/cherry juice kinda vibe., it doesn’t allow the florals to sing. I’ll have mine just under room temp thanks and you do you. Still, it’s modern juicy drinking pleasure.
