The name Arbor Novae means “new trees” in Latin, and expresses Howard Park’s ongoing connection
with the trees that support the ecosystem of their own vineyards and then extend out into the majestic
Eucalypt forests of South West Western Australia with $1.50 from each bottle sold going to Carbon Positive’s tree planting and landscape restoration.
In a continuation of Howard Park’s support of WA artists, the Arbor Novae labels display original paintings by Fremantle artist Andy Quilty.
Howard Park, Arbor Novae, Chenin Blanc, Margaret River, 2024
Very pale hue. Open with citrus/savoury balances: lemon verbena, nut husk, soft caramel, chamomile, fresh linen, river stones. grated ginger and dried mango slices. Focus with bittersweet citrus fruit, white stone fruit and mango. Carrying a small amount of phenolic tackiness to the texture before bright, juicy acidity that bristles with energy. Good length through the finish and firmly refreshing.
