Marchand & Burch, Mount Barrow, Pinot Noir, Mount Barker, 2024

Medium garnet. Ripe and perfumed nose: Cherry flesh and Cherry Ripe™, bramble, some bitter orange citrus, thyme and fennel herb offset with forest floor and soft charcuterie. Oak is a little prevalent in its youth with tobacco like spice. Quality is obvious, but showing vintage influence with ripe fleshy fruit yet missing a little elegance of previous releases. Tannins are a comfortable little rumble, providing a neat frame which will give a medium term cellaring option.

RRP: $75
