The Miamup Chardonnay is made from a vineyard selection from the famed prime region of Margaret River. Winemaking same recipe as previous vintages: Fermentation (primary and malolactic) in a combination of 50% French oak ( with 10% new) and 50% stainless steel. Lees stirred from the end of primary fermentation and throughout the malolactic ferment. Maturation of 10 months on lees, after which the the wine is blended bank to tank and for 2 more months before bottling.
Howard Park, Miamup, Chardonnay, Margaret River, 2025
Pale colour Hessian and grapefruit, lemon citrus, filo pastry, butter wrapper, white lilies, green melon rind, white chocolate and stony quartz. Lees and malolactic influence bring richness and protein oomph. Ripe melon spectrum with lemon and grapefruit flesh in a handsome mid-weight frame. Some tight and grainy phenolics off-set the fruit leading to a balanced, if a little short tail. Serve with fresh grilled scampi.
