De Bortoli,Pepper and Spice, Shiraz, Rutherglen, 2024

Deep garnet colour. Black and peppercorns, clove studs, prosciutto, fleshy plum, tea cake baking spices, blackberry compote and a little mocha sweetness. Full bodied, with elegant framing. Nothing to hide here, balanced, easy, silky and with plenty of dark flesh studded with spice and a lick of hyper fine tannins. Serve up with bbq steak sandwiches.
