Y Series, Lighter, Pinot Grigio, South Australia, 2025

Fresh apple and green pear slices, baked apple crumble, citrus blossoms and lemon drops. No disguising the just-medium body, with the lower alcohol not assisting in plumping things out through the finish, while Pinot Grigio’s natural waxiness does off-set to some benefit. There’s clean and varietal pear, honeysuckle, cinnamon and ginger with fresh acidity to close. Certainly one of the better low alcohol offerings.
