Gundog Estate, Shiraz, Canberra District, 2024
Medium deep garnet in colour. Spice, like dried tomato herb leaf, salt, cumin and taco seasoning, deep, tight berries, blackberry to boysenberry, charry oak giving a woody edge with earth roast beets. Elegant and savoury, the mid-weight palate has a protein-like base giving lift to some juicy acidity over the blackberry/cassis fruit. Tannins are fine and tight knit. Finishes raspy and handsome.
