Harvested from 90 year old vines, this is Tahbilk’s icon Marsanne, and considering the price tag, an absolute bargain.
Tahbilk, 1927 Vines, Marsanne, Nagambie Lakes, 2017
Pale with green highlights. Honeysuckle, elderflower, marzipan, richness of straw, soft tropical fruit flesh, lemon slices, pear flesh and a earthy, stony mineral spine. Just starting to show a richness of development with light tropical fruit, bittersweet citrus and tempered by vibrant, pulsating acidity. The finish dry and intense, leaving no doubt as to its potential for further ageing.
