Kyneton Ridge, Skipping Rabbit, Pinot Noir, Macedon Ranges, 2025
Medium garnet in colour. Ripe and darkly juicy. Red to black fruits with tart edges: rustic, charry meatiness meats sweet/sour Chinese dried plum to black cherry. Even flow, smooth with little rumbles of tannin. The tail finishes with the peacock tail flourish to underline its Pinosity. There’s a brooding focus to the close, like an uncomfortable eye-holding gaze. No need to put this away.
