d’Arenberg Stephanie The Gnome With Rose Tinted Glasses Rosé 2018

Arguably the longest wine name in Australia. There’s an addition of cinsault grapes in this release.

d’Arenberg, Stephanie The Gnome With Rose Tinted Glasses, Rosé, Sangiovese, Cinsault, Shiraz, 2018

Livid ruby. Balsamic & strawberry notes jump,  out of the glass, before earthier, peaty elements and whiteboard texta….the carbonic maceration making it very heady. Maybe a touch of VA. Strawberry jam, musk sticks, sticky tape, a little bit of citrus-juice pink grapefruit acidity and a confusing finish. Not sure what quite to do with this one.

RRP: $18
Alc: 12.5%
Rating: 16/20
