The name for the wine is taken from the first initial of each of the Mitolo children: Gemma, Alexander and Marco. French Oak maturation for 15 months with 30% new and 70%.
Mitolo, G.A.M, Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2016
Deep garnet coloured heart with a ruby rim. Mineral and graphite over warming plum, blackberry and choco-berry fruit aromas. Some creamy vanilla and mocha punctuated with toasty all-spice. Full bodied with a sense of presence. The seamless front palate is a roll call of berry fruits with fine support from McLaren Vale earthiness and a fine close out of minerally tension. Opulent without being overblown, the tannins are ripe and will integrate well over the coming years.
