From a single block in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, regular battonage (lees stirring) to build complexity and as the name suggests, fermented with wild yeasts. Winemaker is Natalie Cleghorn.
Yalumba, Wild Ferments, Sauvignon Blanc, Limestone Coast, 2019
Solid, varietal aromas: Lychee, dewy grass, green melon with hints of earthy leaf. Just medium bodied. The flavours run similar to the aromas supported by passion fruit seed . A creamy mid palate leads to a fine, clean and zesty finish. Balanced, attractively packaged and sure to win fans of the variety.
