Malbec thrives in a a couple of areas of Australia, the south of Western Australia being one of them.
West Cape Howe, Malbec, Frankland River, 2018
Mulberry and leafy black berries with a touch of boot polish, iodine and concentrated black cherry syrup over vanilla bean oak with a hint of ferrous steel. Darkly fun: fine almost lightly chewy tannin supporting a bulbous purple fruit cushioned heart yet with a steely focus. Licks of bitter herbs and spice ensure complexity and interest.
