Purple Hands Wines, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2018
Inky purple in colour. Christmas cake spice and depth, plum sauce, light tar, wet black mud, red wine gums, vanilla/cola tinge, blackberry, liquorice and bramble hints too. A lightly grainy palate underneath easy Barossa fruit. The structure feels a touch rustic with puckering tannins with a peppery spice and chary oak. Medium length and a gunpowder flash of bright acidity. A solid effort.
