Made by Corey Ryan for Fourth Wave Wine, the wines are “hand-made without the use of any artificial sweeteners, but the “addition of grape skin extract (GSE) during the winemaking process.” That’s the Plus bit. They’re then de-alcoholised (the Minus bit).
Plus & Minus, Zero Alcohol, Pinot Noir, Rosé, South Australia, 2021
Peachy, medium salmon flesh colour. Musk sticks, hints of rosewater, blood orange, light peach stone fruit, easy strawberries n’ cream and a suggestion of bramble. Rounded and vague. There’s a slipperiness to the body which lacks bite and texture then closes firm with tart acidity. Reminiscent flavour of a red berry ice tea. Not the best in the range.
