Heirloom Vineyards Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019

Plenty of gold stickers from overseas wine shows.  From Elena Brooks and her husband Zar, and winemaker Rosie Signer.

Heirloom Vineyards, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2019

Bruise purple and bright rim of colour. Fine varietal plum and blackberry with soft bramble leafiness supporting plenty of chocolate, animalistic lanolin, rooibos tea and sweet, chary oak. Silky and supple, flowing full body, almost unctuous. Tannins are tart, drying and hard while the last oaky echo is of overdone espresso coffee. A prickle of heat runs through the tail. For the lovers of bigger, bold style.

RRP: $40
