Wild Folk Touriga 2021

Rare to see a Touriga released this young, usually a variety used in blending or fortified production. Wild Folk wines are produced by the Fourth Wave Wine team and this one put together by usual suspect winemaker Corey Ryan. From certified organic vines, and made with no added sulphites, wild yeast fermentation. The wine bottled unfiltered and unfined. Vegan friendly if that’s important to you. UNder a DIAM cork (and a wax seal).

Wild Folk Touriga

Deep bruise purple and bright rim. Peppery, brown spices, black jelly beans, blackberry compote, dark raspberry, roast beetroot and a little reductive meaty depth. Supple sweet dark fruit balanced with naturally tannic Touriga giving fine yin/yang. Surprisingly there’s a sharp jab of acidity to brighten and keep things fresh. Dark fruit fun.
