From Craig and Mark at Purple Hands Wines, Colours of the South seek to be joyous and easy drinking. Pinot Blanc is starting to get decent air time. This one has a small parcel of the whole bunch pressed fruit fermented in old French oak with lees stirring during maturation.
Colours of the South, Pinot Gris, Barossa Valley, 2021
Clear hue with green highlights. Pulpy nashi pear, jasmine florals, soft doughy leesy notes, green melon, frozen white table grapes and green tea. Creamy and round palate up front that blossoms before a kitten lick of grip and firm acid that flattens the finish. Carrying some interest to the delicacy.
