Heggies range now made by Marc Van Halderen and part of the greater Hill Smith Family Vineyards stable. Label so named as it sits at 500 metres above sea level. Fermented and matured for 8 and half months in French oak barriques, with 30% of blend in only 7% new oak and the rest in one year and older oak.

Thoroughly modern with fresh lemon and lime citrus zest, nectarine stone fruit, ginger and white blossom. Vibrant and lively with generous stone fruit, a little savoury grip and mid palate creaminess from the subtle barrel work with plenty of juicy citrusy acidity to close through the dry finish. Nothing overtly complex but good drinking at the price.
