Crittenden Estate, The Zumma, Pinot Noir, Mornington Peninsula, 2020
Took a couple of days to open up. Initially closed with fragrant cherry and light spice blossoms out to include rosehip tea, currants, toasted brown spice, green peppercorn and light leaf matter. Savoury and yeasty with swathes of dark cherry with bright red strawberry fruit and a flinty, meaty ironstone flick. Tannin profile is slightly tacky before smoothing out through the palate. Pulls up a touch quicker than desired.
