Hungerford Hill, The Underground Project, Pinot Noir, Tumbarumba, 2022
Pale cerise in colour. Lifted rich cherry fruit with orange skin, soft turned earth/forest floor and that almost confectionary red lolly from the carbonic maceration. Spiced and angular. Youthfully intense with juicy bones and dark savoury yeast influences. While I appreciate the endeavour, it needs food to cut through as it’s tough work on its own.
