Calabria, based in the Riverina, but that’s a bit of a tough region for high quality Chardonnay. Partial wild and barrel ferment. The rest in stainless steel. Matured in oak with some lees stirring.
Calabria, Three Bridges, Chardonnay, Tumbarumba, 2021
Pale straw to lemon hue. Cool climate nectarine stone fruit with lime citrus. A little nutty nougat and cool smoky quartz stone. Tight and linear body showing its regionality openly. Neat layers of flesh with a fairly rigid spine and some juicy acidity through the finish. A pleasant Chardonnay, perfect for salt & pepper calamari.
