Okay. Fourth Wave Wine have teamed up with a cracking winemaker in Aaron Mercer to make this wine. Technically the full name is The Hero Of Zero, as there’s zero added preservatives (sulphur dioxide or SO²).  A unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir with fruit coming from the Central Ranges region of NSW around Orange (but not from vineyards high enough in elevation to be classed as Orange). 

 

Pale salmon colour. Mulberry, orange pith, tobacco leaf, brown pear, old leather, steel and vegetal undergrowth. Carrying a fair amount of flesh with a red fruit and pink apple streak with a big spike of intense acidity through the tail. The fruit feels a little flat before the puckering acidity cuts deep. Best drunk ASAP.
