The second release of the label. A blend of Shiraz from the Hilltops Freeman vineyard and Cabernet Sauvignon from Gundog’s own Wallaroo vineyard in the Canberra region. 24 hours skin contact for colour and texture. Vegan Friendly if that’s important to you. Note, bottle image is of the 2021 but nothing else has changed.
Gundog Estate, Rosé, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, NSW, 2022
Pale cerise to cherry. Blood orange, white pepper, cherry, cassis, mint leaf, dried pawpaw, sour watermelon lollies and just a hint of pink musk. Flesh and fruit over a balanced structure. Sugars are down but the fruit depth is a welcome relief to many bone dry expressions that can seem wan and anemic. Serious rosé indeed.
RRP: $30
Alc: 13%
Rating: 18/20 (92/100)
