Mid ruby and bright hue. Gunflint tension and tightness before cocoa powder, steeping black cherries, dried cranberries, baked orange citrus, 5 spice nuances and fragrant violets. Wrapped up so tight and firm, swaddled like a new born. Fruit is purple/black, tart and deliciously intense, while signature Pipers acid slices sharply. The new oak gives a sweet kiss and contributes to fine tannins. Long, long finish and a long life ahead.
