From ‘the Ridge,’ a small part of Ross Hill’s Griffin Road home vineyard, planted over 20 years ago and 750 to 810 metres above sea level. Sustainability at the heart of Ross Hill, being certified carbon neutral and a Climate Active Network Member. Cab Franc is one of Orange’s hero reds. 16 Months in French oak, around 35% new. Winemaker is Chris Jessop.

Ross Hill, Pinnacle Series, Cabernet Franc, Orange, 2024

Dusty violets, cinnamon and baking spices, cassis, raspberry coulis, pipe smoke, milk choc and cedar. Medium framed, angled acidity sparring with fine tannins. The core of fruit balances red and black, while the oak gives vanilla bean and char. Elegant and approachable now (served with just pink rack of lamb), but with scope for medium termed ageing.
