Ross Hill, Pinnacle Series, Shiraz, Orange, 2024
Bruise purple. Black olive, cranberry, clove and dark woody spice. Blood plum, hints of camphor and powdery white pepper. Blackberry flesh, steel and a little sweet oak. Showing its cool climate origins: it’s just medium framed and fine boned, almost restrained, with lithe dark flesh and hyper fine, soft tannins. The finish focused and holding acidity, intensity and tension. A point of difference from warmer climate overtness.
