The Cigar; thus named to describe the unique cigar-shaped strip of rich red terra rossa soil of the Coonawarra. The 2016 has just started floating about, but the 2015 will still be available. The fruit comes from the famed Menzies vineyard. Bottled under cork. Winemaker is Natalie Cleghorn.

Blackberry and blackcurrant with a sweeter raspberry edge, fine grated chocolate with deep herbal elements of tobacco, subtle pencil. Medium-full bodied. Fruity and quality blackberry focus with a sweet lick of oak, offset with a savoury tail. Svelte texture with fine, fine tannin and a bright lift to finish. Layered yet accessible, a thoroughly modern and drinkable Cabernet.
