Bay of Fires, Chardonnay, Tasmania, 2019

Exciting, lifted, clean, fresh, vibrant…damn near pulsating. One sniff and I am cleansed. Outkast sang: “ain’t nobody dope as me, I’m dressed so fresh so clean.” May as well just put that on the back label. Sure there’s some quality stonefruit and lime/lemon flesh, a little hallmark “chicken salt” brine for savoury balance before a tail that lasts long, like a Hollywood horror film python….but all in all the deconstruction of the elements is superfluous: this is the whole package.
