Salena Estate, ex-PRESS-ion, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2019
Deep garnet hue. Varietal and regional qualities of dark plums, Christmas cake spice while Easter is represented with an Easter Egg chocolate bent. There’s a little blackberry and some sweet vanilla oak. Fruit forward with a surprisingly medium body. Good balance of plum and berry fruit with easy tannins. Well put together and presents a solid varietal expression, just maybe a touch over on the value side however.
