Taltarni take a “greatest hits” tour here for their Chardonnay sources. Along with their Pyrenees fruit, they’ve reached west and south to the Adelaide Hills and to Tasmania.
Taltarni, Blanc de Blancs, Chardonnay, SEA, 2016
Straw gold with fine beading. Light baked spiced apple, green grape with soft doughy yeastiness, soft yellow citrus, touches of custard richness, rich spice (powdered taco seasoning) which gives a lovely spritzy prickle to the nose. Some developing richness through the palate, followed by a rounded creamed honey back palate before good clean clips and a dry finish for a slaking, juicy experience. Depth, complexity and offering very good value.
