I’m really not sure how Taltarni are actually making money from this Cuvée Rosé. Buying from their cellar club will see the below RRP come down by nearly 20%. Even at its full price, this is a bargain…nay….a steal.
A blend of Pinot Noir 52% , Chardonnay 46% and Meunier 2% for seasoning. The fruit harvested from Victoria, South Australia (Adelaide Hills) and Tasmania. Traditional Method of fermentation(s).
Taltarni, Cuvée Rosé, SEA, 2013
Pale copper/salmon with tight, exquisite beading. Developing aromas of macerated strawberries, just shucked fleshy Pacific oyster flesh & shell, sourdough bread crust, red gum honey, maraschino cherry and light rosewater kisses. Intense, driving and powerful. The mousse dissipates like a dandelion flower to seed in the wind, before said oyster rich creaminess only to rein in with tight, fine lines and long length of flavour. Make no mistake, this is a serious sparkling at the price and only just starting to hit peak form. Buy with confidence.
