Terre à Terre are Xavier Bizot and Lucy Croser and the Down To Earth range is their ‘entry level.’ The fruit comes from the 35 million year old soil Crayères vineyard in Wrattonbully. Fermentation in Stainless steel (61%) and the rest in large French oak foudres. Aged on lees until bottling.

The oak and lees work off-set the usually pungent Sauvignon Blanc nose: Gingerbread, light tropical fruit mix, lemongrass and apple. Softly textural, yet maintaining a varietal raciness. Dry, with a medium length of flavour and plenty of appeal. Consistently one of the better SB’s in the land.
