Like a mixed berry compote: Damson plum, cherry, mulberry and blackberry. Fair whack of black pepper with some cheese rind/protein depth, gunpowder and milk chocolatey oak. Full bodied with plenty of opulent fruit. Soft, pliable tannin structure is comforting and plush leading to a firm, dry finish. A gentle reminder that Margaret River can produce quality red wines other than Cabernet Sauvignon.
