Credaro Kinship Cabernet Sauvignon 2025

Fruit sourced from Credaro’s high-density planted Kyella Vineyard in Wilyabrup (comprising Houghton, 337 and 191 Cabernet clones). Some fruit batches cold-soaked for added complexity. Malolactic fermentation in tank (for freshness) and then matured for 12 months in French oak barriques (30% new). No fining. Winemakers are Matt Godfrey and Paul Callaghan.

Credaro, Kinship, Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River, 2025

Deep purple in colour. Ripe blackberry and mulberry flesh, plump black cherry, violets, big bay leaf, pouch tobacco, milk chocolate to drinking cocoa, school pencil and cedar. Fleshy and ripe. Hints of cheese rind protein depth and charry oak to off-set the spreading dark fruit. Echoes of bay leaf and asphalt earthiness. Soft tannins give a medium to full frame and very present in youth. Feels a little raw, so match for drinking now with porterhouse steak or come back in 6 months with a full decant.
