Credaro Kinship Chardonnay 2025

Fruit sourced from Credaro Kyella (Wilyabrup), Carbunup, and a ‘premium Treeton grower.’ Whole bunches and whole berries in the press. Wild fermentation. Nine months maturation in French oak (barriques and puncheons, around 25% new), with regular lees stirring. No malolactic fermentation and no fining. Winemakers are Matt Godfrey and Paul Callaghan.

Credaro, Kinship, Chardonnay Margaret River, 2025

Light straw hue. Plenty going on. Butter beans, creamy mocha oak, white chocolate, leesy nuances, gun flint and egg shell. Fruit runs through grapefruit citrus to white peach granita with a note of balsa wood. The palate generous: Orange marmalade cream, oak and that peachy flesh. Ripe and showing some vintage reflections, yet with fine balance and zesty acidity through the tail. Time will probably make me a points miser.
