Sidewood Estate, Mappinga, Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills, 2025

A fine balance between fruit and winemaking. Hazelnut and white stone fruit hits. Flinty struck match youthfulness with marzipan, lemon juice, breadcrumbs and grapefruit pith. Delicate fruit being framed with solid winemaking influences, Lingering oak toast, spice and then creaminess. Generous without being overdone, the finishes contrasts with drying brine and juicy acidity. May take some time to settle and even out but will be worth it.
